Bugs!


I took this photograph yesterday evening in my garden. Loved the eyes!! I think it's a damsel fly?  If anyone knows differently then please let me know.

no idea I'm afraid - bugs aren't my thing! Well done to keep it in the frame though - on the very rare occasions I've tried macro photography, I've found it's very difficult to get the subject to stay still long enough!

And yes, please could we have the details?

I used a Konica Minolta Dynax 5D for this shot with a 18 to 70 lens, obviously used on macro. Not the best camera in the world but one of the lightest SLRs which is what I need. Dragonflies, mayflies etc... tend to stay still long enough for a descent shot. Just trying to get back into nature photography so more soon.

One of my collegues at work has a KM 5D and I was very impressed with the build quality and the results (and as we photographers know, our skills have something to do with it too...)
