I was just wondering if anyone can fill me in regarding the law and hedge cutting in relation to nesting birds. I have seen hedges being cut by tractor right in the middle of "nesting season". Is this legal? Are there any dates between which it is illegal to cut a hedge?

I just hate to see an empty forum gathering dust, so I thought I would give this Puffin a home.
